INSPIRATION:
My recent body of work focuses on nature and our challenging symbiotic relationship. The struggle for human control versus the unpredictable, ceaseless change of nature, fascinates me.The fragile balance between humanity and nature is omnipresent, but often at odds. This conflict can results in dire consequences, especially when warning signs are ignored.

Therefore references to environmental challenges, balance, turmoil, technology, waste, spirituality, preservation and decay are reoccurring themes.

The mixed media, multi layering of textures both imagined and real is integral to the work. The collaged approach, unites objects, insects, trees, organic matter, photography and encaustic wax. The photographs are illusionary and in contrast the objects represent unearthed, found artifacts, contributing to the poetic impact.
